This is a very nice "field made" German WWII cap, made using "captured" Italian M29 camo material. This allowed a much better camouflage profile than the standard tan or field gray color. Combined with the comfort of a field cap, they were relatively popular, and many were made in field workshops, so they were produced in countless styles.
